| Saturday, July 06, 2002 @ 10:50 The prologue is over. The boi is shopping. I had an incredible descent into my sadist core last night. Life is very, VERY good and I'm most appreciative and grateful to the universe. For those who don't know me, a warning: Today was the prologue of the Tour de France. Do NOT expect many posts from me until The Tour is over (final stage is July 28th). This year is actually worse because I'll be in Denver for five days (and then have to catch up on the taped stages) AND I'm settling into this new relationship. The boi has a huge chunk of my attention. A few others are still on the periphery. My work life is about to enter a transition phase that may be stressful at times, but ultimately will be the best thing for me. In normal circumstances The Tour would be enough to keep me away. Here's the warning I posted last year Saturday, July 7, 2001. Since I'm using blogger.com now, I can't post a disclaimer on the top of every page like last year. --Just know that I'm even more obsessed this year because the boi gets cycling. She hasn't followed it with the fervor that I have for the last 13 years, but she understands the basics, so I have someone to share it with this year. And don't ask how scary it is that after only a handful of weeks, I'm dreading being away from her for five nights while I'm in Denver. I'm just reminding myself that she'll be here taking care of the apartment and my cat and providing a real "home" for my return.
