"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

--Patricia McKillip, The Riddle-Master of Hed

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.

There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.

I couldn't shake the feeling last night that it was Friday. Made it very, very difficult to focus on getting mentally ready for work today. I went to sleep having to remind myself that no, I couldn't sleep in or do lazy stuff with my boi. I have to go to work and do 5 high priority/deadline tasks before 10 am. And then spend the rest of the day trying to do my usual Friday data entry, catch up on past due e-mails and phone calls, and prepare for a new employee who starts Monday. And somewhere in there try to get in a few job hunt phone calls and resumes.

Yes, I'm stressed. Luckily I have a boi and friends and my daily life is a happy one. I just need the adjustment to happen with a better work environment. I think I found the key to that. Well, I found the key weeks ago, I was just resisting for reasons of practicality. Then I realized I need to let go of the programming and be who I am -- live the life I want by my terms. My boi and I have plans. Things we want to accomplish and do in the next 1-5 years. I don't want another holding job until it's time for us to go. We don't have to answer to anyone else's idea of what our "career" should be. As long as we keep financial stress at bay and are happy with our choices, no other opinion matters.
