"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.
There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.

Wednesday night my boi's family ordered the respirator turned off on her mother. It was a 14 hour day spent in the hospital waiting room with time spent running errands. The last two days have involved cleaning her father's house and coordinating arrangements and finances. My boi's siblings aren't capable of handling these things, so she has had to do the work, and will have to do the work of setting up her dad's monthly finances. I'm just there to help with the cleaning, offer suggestions and reminders, and make sure she is eating and sleeping and getting enough hugs.
I wasn't prepared at all for the "dutiful daughter-in-law" role. Firstly, my boi and I don't believe we're the marrying kind. However, we're spending the rest of our lives together and introduce each other as "my partner" so "in-law" is the closest term. I certainly never expected to be intimately involved with the preparations for an LDS funeral and burial....let alone in the middle of personal financial crisis while my own sister's health is in question.
We just hold on to each other and move through this.
