breakthrough on Realm
| Sunday, August 10, 2003 @ 19:28 I *finally* designed the format for the redesign of D M's Realm --I have NOT uploaded the changes yet, just figured out the design that I will use. This has been plaguing me for months (I think I decided to do a redesign back in February and here it is August). I had a structure in mind. I've written new pages. I even knew what sort of graphic I wanted as the "logo" for the site. But I couldn't figure out how to pull it all together. Until today. I have the template. I have the graphic. I have the front two pages ready. Now all I have to do is transfer all the continuing pages to the new design (not every page that is in the current site will make it to the redesigned version), type the new pages, and link it all together. Whether this takes a few days or a few weeks, that's up to the universe. boy seems excited about the design -- he was even bragging about it to a friend on the phone a little while ago. And I'm very happy with it. Still, pasting and adjusting and coding takes time. For those who aren't familiar with it, D M's Realm has been around since the fall of 1997 in various forms on various servers. It actually began as "Lady Flora's Homepage" or something like that. It's had a variety of designs, expansions, reorganizations and moved through geocities, xoom, freespeech, and is now hosted by warped.com on a domain that I own (same as Unsuspected Depth). I'll be sure to post here when that redesign debuts....which I hope won't be another six months out!
