"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.
There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.
part of the solution

At the Daddy/boy/boi panel that boy moderated Monday night, one of the participants made a comment that stuck in my head: a collar should be part of the solution. If it becomes part of the problem, it needs to be removed, permanently if necessary. Likewise with labels. If a label helps a relationship (or a person's self image), great. If not, dump it.
The example given was that wearing a huge chain collar at a vanilla presentation distracts from the impact of the presentation. In those situations, or airports, job interviews, etc., the collar should be removed. In our life, boy's collar will be removed in two weeks for his mammogram.
So, what labels work for us and which add to the problems we face daily? I am boy's Master and owner. I am also partner to the wonderous woman who shares my life. I am Sadist, Top, Bitch. boy claims I have Daddy energy that comes out sometimes. And girl energy. Through boy I've become much more comfortable with my id -- being playful, speaking nonsense languages, showing wonder at simple things, playing with toys & bubbles. boy is a slave, a boy, property. He is a poet chef, an artist, a performer. He is masochist, Daddy, Sadist (though frustrated at the moment), girl, partner.
I don't have answers for anyone. I'm simply examining the labels in our life and marveling at how well we usually flow between them, around the center of spiritual connection that brought us together in the first place.
--btw. the entire panel on Monday night was thought-provoking and enjoyable (and might inspire further posts over the next few days). boy did an outstanding job choosing and recruiting the participants and moderating between them and the audience. I'm very proud of him.
