puzzling (4th post tonight)
| Thursday, August 14, 2003 @ 20:02 I've revived my addiction to jigsaw puzzles. Before boy entered my life, I had bookmarked a website that let you do puzzles online. Jig Zone offers a new puzzle every day, an archive of dozens of puzzles, and the opportunity to change the number and shape of pieces in each puzzle you do. While boy and I have done jigsaw puzzles together over the months (sometimes one puzzle on top of another), I hadn't returned to Jig Zone. Now I do them in the morning, during my lunch break, and in the evenings while checking e-mail. I'm not sure if I'm just seeking the certainty that there are things in my life I *can* solve, or if I'm avoiding tasks I find too unpleasant to do. I'm sure this current streak will end soon. I tend to treat my additions as fads...lasting only a few weeks or months at most. In the meantime, I get to look at pretty pictures, shuffle them, and put them back together again and again. It's fun, if nothing else :)
