"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

--Patricia McKillip, The Riddle-Master of Hed

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.

There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.

thanks

I've been delinquent in offering important thanks. One day boy excitedly informed me that a package from amazon.com had arrived. We deduced it must be from someone offering me something from my wish list, but I made him wait until I got home to open it myself. It contained a copy of Patrick Califia's Sensous Magic -- the revised and expanded edition that I've been wanting for two years. It was sent by a loyal reader of this Journal who has supported my efforts and that of boy for a long time.

We appreciate her showing support through this gift. Thank you!

It was doubly appreciated because we honestly didn't feel anyone would make use of my wishlist, other than ourselves. Any support is welcomed and just the fact that people are linking to our sites and our readership counts keep climbing make us feel we're having an effect in the community.

I will say that boy is working on his own list. It may not be obvious, but some things on both lists are for us, rather than for him or me. We divided up the things we want so that neither list gets astronomically long. An example is the decision to put the Deep Space Nine DVDs on my list and the Babylon Five and Stargate: SG1 on his. The lists aren't in any particular order of importance, they are just things we want and won't be able to afford. Anyone who wants to send us a surprise, or just learn what sort of books, music, television, and movies we like, can peruse them. (The link appears in the list of links on the righthand side of this journal.)

And thanks again to the generous boi who sent us the book!
