a short one
| Monday, December 15, 2003 @ 07:27 Just a brief entry to work on my self-discipline. Yesterday's MAsT meeting was an odd one. I left feeling there were many things unsaid, but also feeling that a lot was accomplished --it just wasn't directed at us. Though it did spark conversation between myself and boy and I remembered/realized several important things: Trust is a form of surrender and it may be the core way that a Master surrenders in an M/s relationship. While there is a growing trend in M/s that believes the Master must be qualified to be the slave's spiritual guide, the reverse can also be true. Part of the service a slave provides could include instruction, insight, and advice to his owner, and that sometimes means guiding them spiritually. (more later) One of the problems I have with some of those involved in the "new age" community is that they approach spirituality and religions as anthropological study and then use language intended to validate people who need no external validation. While this may seem more appropriate for my Spirituality page, it's actually a growing concern in the leather/bdsm community that more and more focuses on the spiritual aspects of SM interactions and relationship structures. -- or at least does so in our area. Time to head to work. boy isn't feeling well, so I need to check in with him and then go.
