"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.
There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.

It's been awhile. boy & I have both had health issues that have interfered with our daily life. I'm hoping that we've reached the end of that. We have been able to squeeze in some quality movie viewing -- including finally seeing "8 Mile" and "L.A. Confidential" (hard to believe that was the same director creating 1950s LA and 1990s Detroit) among many, many others. We've also amassed quite a few hours of tv tapes that we'll attempt to get caught up on once we watch these last four movies we rented. With "Friends" and "Fraiser" gone, "Tru Calling" over and possibly canceled, and "Angel" having only one episode left, there's not much regular programming left to keep us occupied --until the new "Stargate SG-1" season starts in July-along with the New "Atlantis" spinoff.
Yesterday the local dungeon held a "Kink Karnival" including vendors, demos, and entertainment. I won a private party for 9 in one of the auctions. boy & I have both visited the house and know the switch who owns it. We're looking forward to the chance to get together with a few people and take advantage of the dungeon equipement, the pool, and the hot tub -- without having to worry about preparation or clean up. I told boy he can think of it as his birthday party for this year -- though it most likely won't happen until for a few weeks after his bday.
Next month Mistress Blair and her slave, puppy, will be staying with us. We had a wonderful visit with Blair at the end of April and are very much looking forward to spending more time with her and meeting puppy. We also hope they will consider moving here in the fall when they do their planned relocation. While they are not identical to our relationship, we do seem to have more in common with them in energy, structure, and even how we first got together than we have experienced with any other couple/family. Even if they chose to move to NM or CO, it will be good to have them much closer to us. I think we've started a very good friendship there.
As part of their visit, Blair has requested that we host a small party here so they can meet more of the locals. We're still debating whether that should be a female-only party or include trans individuals and biomales. We have such a small apartment, it's going to be a tight fit any way we do it. I keep swinging back and forth on what it should be, and we only have a little over a month, so we need to get it planned.
Although we hope to squeeze in trips to LA (to see boy's family and some of the LA boys we've met recently at events here) and Las Vegas (to see Caliann & some of the local leather people we've met from there) in the next few months, with as busy as June is shaping up to be, it will probably be July or August before that happens -- and that depends on just how high gas prices climb.
