"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.
There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.
June already

Not sure how that happened. We went to LA and then came back and then it was boy's birthday. And now it's suddenly June 3rd....
LA was nicer than I remembered -- probably because I was there with boy. His cousin has a wonderful house in Pacific Palisades with views of the ocean from almost every room. (It was a little weird to be taking a shower and look out over trees and hills to the ocean!) We had some incredible vegan food at little restaurant we stumbled across on Sunset Blvd. We got to hang out with a friend and his two bois. boy dragged me to a beach -- I even called a couple of my friends just to be able to say "I'm on a beach in Malibu right now" --it was mostly enjoyable, but I'm still not a beach/ocean person.
Driving across the desert on a hot morning sucks. As does having sunburn for the first time in your life. We'll just have to plan better next trip. Considering I decided to take this weekender less than two weeks in advance, I think it went well. Of course, boy and I have proved repeatedly that we travel well together.
Right now we're focusing on the apartment and getting ready to host Mistress Blair and puppy at the end of the month. We'll be throwing them a small party, but mostly we'll just be spending as much time as we can with them. I'm also putting some time and energy into planning the path I want us to take over the next few years. I have always had goals, but I wanted the first few years to be about building a solid foundation where we are. Now I'm starting to feel the pull of where we are going...and it's my job to get us there.
Things are good.
