| Friday, January 21, 2005 @ 06:03 Yesterday we turned in our keys, etc., from the apartment. I hadn't been in the apartment since Monday afternoon, but it was still a very powerful moment. We liked that apartment, we just completely outgrew it. After some errands we came home and boy made dinner. I started a fire and we sat down to watch a DVD. boy expressed his gratitude to me. he talked about how long he has wanted "this" and thanked me for providing it. Eventually we'll get out of boxes and have three computers and furniture--if we don't get rid of more of the boxes soon, I may explode. With no apartment as a retreat, this house is home now. On a sadder note, I am not going to be attending South Plains Leather Fest -International Master and slave Weekend. I had registered right after Southwest Leather and was very excited about attending. However, the expenses of moving have eaten most of our discretionary funds. I don't feel it is responsible for me to put us into debt for me to go to Dallas. I guess I'll need to start an "event fund" so that this doesn't happen again. I have wanted to attend the International Master and slave contest for years. I KNOW I will get there eventually. For now, building this home is my priority.
