"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"
--Patricia McKillip, The Riddle-Master of Hed |
I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.
There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.

I didn't realize it had been quite so long since I posted here. I knew it had been a few weeks, not over a month. It has been quite a busy time. If you've checked out my vanilla Journal, you'll know we've been
- searching for a rental house
- packing to move
- moving
all the while trying to maintain our work schedules and keep up with holiday obligations.
boy has chronicled a little on his journal as well. I guess I figured any readers would have referrenced those two places and concluded I didn't have time to post here. (The good thing about the vanilla journal is that I can update it from work during my copious downtime!) We haven't had a lot of time for SM interactions, or even much energy for sex, but the M/s remains firmly in place. I made all the decisions about moving, finances, etc., and delegated nuts and bolts to boy. The interesting part was the two vanilla friends we had helping us move and trying to remember to use boy's given name and not confuse them with M/s references. Luckily most of our helpers are M/s or D/b or something along those lines.
It's late and we've had six days of moving, living out of boxes, living without heat/hot water for three days!, and late nights. We have about 1 1/2 loads of lingering items, a sofa to deconstruct and trash, and much cleaning to do at the apartment. Then comes the fun of unpacking, buying new furniture to fit a space that is 2.4 times the size of the apartment, and settling in to a new routine. OH! and we have a housemate so we'll all be adjusting to that as well. It's definitely a growth experience. Everyone, human, feline, and reptilian, are so much happier now than we were a week ago that it makes the "fun" of moving more than worthwhile.
