"When you open your mind and hands and heart to the knowing of a thing, there is no room in you for fear"

--Patricia McKillip, The Riddle-Master of Hed

I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.

There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.

I started on my "four goals" last week and I've been doing a pretty good job of keeping the schedule. Until yesterday, that is. I only met one of them. However, I went into this knowing that I am human and may not be able to keep such a lofty goal in the midst of all my other life activities. And I'm okay with missing days here and there -- as long as it doesn't become a habit.

I'm happy to report that Tex got the last of his things out of the house. We have inherited a variety of things that he didn't want and just left behind (and some things that he took to the trash and we salvaged). I'm going to freecycle one or two things, but we'll find uses for the rest. Now we can direct full energy to finding a suitable housemate.

I've started doing some computer compositions as part of my visual arts goal. I'm using PaintShop Pro and experimenting with the tools available there. I hadn't done much with picture tubes before now, so I'm having a bit of fun with that. Here's my first two creations (at the moment they aren't titled, so I'm using the date created):

June 8, 2005

boy really likes the second one -- although he thought the feet were cool when he first saw that one, so who knows. I'm just enjoying being creative as I learn and feeling inspired by the tools PaintShop has is a very good thing.

I have a workshop and a meeting with my consultant tomorrow, but I hope to get more of The Right Questions posted this weekend. And get some play time in with boy and a few others. Of course, I've been playing more with boy since Tex moved out, so that's another thing to be happy about.
