affirmations
| Wednesday, April 05, 2006 @ 13:10 As some of you know, slave boy is assigned an affirmation that he is required to recite throughout his day. Each affirmation usually lasts several weeks, while he integrates a new thought into his service. he records these on his journal at www.diecastpoetry.com/slaveboy/ (use the "slave's affirmations" link on the left once you are on the main page). After a hiatus due to physical transitions last year, I reinstated the affirmation ritual a few weeks ago. I changed the rules a bit (he has the old rules on his website) and added an affirmation of my own. I haven't shared mine online, but I plan to include them along with my "rules" once I finish revamping my website. I don't know if I will have the courage that boy has in publishing his reflections online. I will share that it has been difficult for me to remember to affirm. While I was able to train boy to remember his, there is no one to enforce my participation. It's also been confusing because part of The Artist's Way includes using artist affirmations and I've had trouble remembering which one to do when. I am making progress, though. I remember more often each day and am integrating the thought into my Mastery. So, here's the question: how does eating New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream serve the Universe?
