| Tuesday, September 12, 2006 @ 20:44 Today we picked up the rental truck. One of boy's work friends had promised to help him load it, but didn't return his calls. So, boy spent most of the day loading the truck by himself. The neighbor was nice enough to help load our queen-sized mattress & boxspring as well as some boxes, but it's been pretty much all boy's job. I've felt pretty guilty that I can't do more, but my ankle still isn't up to par. And given that I have to drive the Vibe for 1400 miles over the next two days, I can't risk aggravating the injury. boy will be driving the rental truck. It's actually cheaper to have two vehicles than pay for the car tower behind the truck. We are leaving in the morning. I hope we can get out by 10am, but it may be closer to noon. There's still a lot to load, since boy's been working alone. We'll be staying in a motel somewhere in New Mexico Wednesday night. Then arriving in Phoenix late Thursday where we'll be staying with friends until we can arrange housing. Please keep us in your thoughts/prayers/wishes as we make this journey and that we'll find good, enjoyable jobs and that the house we're negotiating to rent comes through sooner rather than later. I don't know when I'll be back online -- maybe late Thursday, maybe not until the weekend. I'm just so happy (underneath the moving stress) & looking forward to the contentment & peace of home.
