| Wednesday, September 13, 2006 @ 06:07 Since boy has had to do almost all the loading of the truck alone, I decided it's best to wait another day before leaving Kansas. Otherwise, we'd be running oursElves ragged trying to finish the packing & loading of two vehicles, four animals, and two humans and then driving for 8-9 hours on whatever fumes of energy we might have had left. That plan would have also meant we'd arrive in Phoenix around 9 or 10 Thursday evening which leaves little time for settling the cats with one friend, driving to the other friend's & setting up the iguana cage before the friends need sleep. So, today we finish packing, do some cleaning and errands. Tomorrow we start fresh on the road early in the morning. We should be arriving in Phoenix mid-to-late afternoon on Friday and getting settled in well before bedtime. We are still scheduled to lose internet access today. And I'm not sure we'll be online again before the weekend. It just depends on the generosity of friends' and our schedule of house & job hunting. But I'll try to post an update as soon as I can to let everyone know we've arrived safely. You can check boy's journal -- or maybe one of our Phoenix friends will post on their LJ.
