I am going to start filtering some of my more private musings. Since blogger does not have a tool for that, you will need to visit my Live Journal and ask to be friended there. I will continue to post Daily Gratitude and other subjects here.
There is also a FAQ for my Journal at the same link.
sick kittie

My cat is very sick. I'm trying not to beat myself up too much about not noticing sooner (he went from overweight to severly underweight in less than 6 weeks). We only noticed something serious yesterday morning. By last night we were so worried we took him to the emergency vet. They gave him fluids and sent him home. I didn't want to pay emergency prices for bloodwork that they wouldn't get back until Monday when I can get him to a vet today.
"We" have four cats and I love all of them. My cat is the one that was with me before boy -- before Arizona -- before M/s and BDSM and even before admitting I'm bisexual/lesbian. He has been with me for twelve years this month. He traveled in the back of my station wagon from Kansas to Arizona in a traumatic(for him) two-day trip and survived various family/roommates and the invasion of his space by boy, three cats and an iguana. He's never had a serious illness or injury and has only been to a vet a handful of times.
boy is taking a shower and has to leave for work soon. I am waiting for the vet in Tempe that he knows and trusts to open and call me back about whether they can fit us in today. If they can, our new roommate (long story, see my vanilla journal) will drive us since boy will be at work. If they can't, I'll be calling vets from the phone book. He *has* to get to a vet today, because he's not eating and he threw up the fluids from last night. I think he's in a lot of pain, even though he's not crying or reacting....
It's just very, very hard.
