| Sunday, September 17, 2006 @ 13:15 We arrived in the Valley yesterday (Sat) around noon. boy got sick, so we decided to crash in a motel late Friday afternoon instead of ploughing through to Phoenix. We delivered our cats to stay with a dear friend and are staying with other friends. We drove around for potential rentals and got a good lead we're going to check out tomorrow. I'm scouring the papers & apartment guides for other options. We're hoping the good lead pans out, because we could move in immediately and it's in our favorite neighborhood, but I'm preparing backups. We both have to re-activate with our temp agencies and boy has three jobs to follow up on now that we're back home. There's also a Career Builder job fair on Tuesday that we might check out --if we're not too busy unloading our rental truck into either a new home or a storage unit. (Guess which one I prefer??) I'm just happy that all of my household and all of my possessions are in the same metro area for the first time since I left Kansas in 2000. I was surprised by how much I had left behind at Mom's without even realizing it. But all that was either donated, trashed, burned, or deemed valuable and loaded into the truck. All of me & mine are in the Valley now. There were some signifcant things that happened on the journey home, but I don't have time to go into them now. Plus I need to sit with them for a few days. We're getting ready to attend the Phoenix MAsT meeting and then scope out some possible rentals and do some grocery shopping. And then another good night's sleep to recover from the road. I'm not sure when I'll get back to posting. But we are all safe and (mostly) sound and jumping into the job/house search.
